Dear residents and businesses of the City of Glen Cove,

The 90 dedicated men and women of the community who comprise the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department and the Glen Cove Fire Association Inc are all volunteers. We are a registered 501(c)(3) 509(a)(2) non profit public charity, please take a moment to help us with a tax deductible donation. For the past 188 years, community volunteers have donated their time and risked possible life threatening injury in order to provide you and your loved ones with the expert level of emergency services which we have all grown to expect from the Department. In 2024, we responded to over 700 calls for help. Our highly trained members not only respond to fire calls, but also respond to motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls and nature related emergencies. We are there for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please help us to help you.

Our Fund Drive is now in progress and we are appealing to you for your financial assistance to help defray the cost of expenses not covered by tax dollars. With your contributions we are able to continue to fund attendance at the necessary seminars and classes which provide your volunteers with the latest fire fighting and emergency techniques. Participation in these courses and training exercises required 4,000 person hours during last year. The Department also participates in a variety of community programs by supporting Glen Cove Junior Baseball, Soccer, and Football Associations and assisting civic and religious organizations year round.

The City of Glen Cove fire tax is less than $68.00 per household and 2% of the city’s overall budget. Please show your volunteers that you appreciate their efforts by donating to our annual Fund Drive.
